Monitoring Parameters
Conductivity= A measure of electrical conductance in water. An approximate prediction of the total dissolved ions (Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Sodium and Chloride are the major ones).
Turbidity= A qualitative measure of suspended matter and clarity of water.
Temperature= Will determine the amount of Oxy
Monitoring Parameters
Conductivity= A measure of electrical conductance in water. An approximate prediction of the total dissolved ions (Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Sodium and Chloride are the major ones).
Turbidity= A qualitative measure of suspended matter and clarity of water.
Temperature= Will determine the amount of Oxygen available to all aquatic life (fish, macroinvertebrates etc.). Growth rate, productivity, and length of life cycles are temperature dependent.
Additional Quality Parameters APWC Tests For:
pH= A measure of acidity or alkalinity important because all aquatic life has a certain range that will support their life cycle.
TDS= Total dissolved solids is a quantitative measure of all suspended particulates in a water body
Benthic Macroinvertebrates= Aquatic and semi-aquatic organisms whose presence (or absence) indicates a streams’ water quality. They are the major food source for fish.

USGS Gauge on Pohopoco Creek in Kresgeville. This gauge is operated and maintained by the United States Geological Survey and offers live data as well as previously recorded. You can view stream flow as depth and as flow- cubic feet per second.
